Let's Hear it for Storytellers! January 20, 2011 Storytelling World just announced that three of our books (OK, two books and a DVD) have received honors in their 2011 Storytelling World Resource Awards! Tim Tingle's true story of growing up Choctaw, Saltypie, received an honor in the Stories for Pre-Adolescent Listeners category, while Joe Hayes' tall tale The Gum Chewing Rattler won an honor in the stories for Young Listeners category. In the Stories for Adolescent listeners, Joe's DVD version of the classic scary story La Llorona was honored. Look for these stories (along with the rest of this year's winners and honors) in the April/May issue of Storytelling Magazine/Storytelling World.
